A Dog's Tale by Mark Twain, is about a dog that saved the life of her owner's child when their house caught on fire. The owner did not see the dog's intentions, causing him to brutally beat his dog. Though later felt remorse learning of the dog's true objective. Time after, the owner had killed the dog's puppy due to a bet the group of scientists had. A servant sees the irony, saying, "Poor little doggie, you saved HIS child!" I recommend this story to animal lovers and to those who love sad stories. It is a very enjoyable story with a quick twist of events that occur. It will leave readers with an aching heart and more respect for the feelings of other living creatures who can put the life of other beings before themselves.
